Reporting Structure:

• Direct Reporting to P&L Head
• Dotted Line Reporting to Managing Director / CEO

Location: Dhulagarh (Kolkata) and Bhubaneshwar Number of Positions: 2 (One for each location)

Objective:

The Warehouse Manager oversees the efficient operation, maintenance, and customer service aspects of the warehouse to ensure the fulfillment of sales targets as per the annual budget. The primary goals include achieving maximum occupancy, operational excellence, exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest quality standards through best warehousing practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales Achievement: Drive sales in accordance with the warehouse’s annual budget.

• P&L Management: Take overall responsibility for the profit and loss of the Kolkata / Bhubaneshwar unit.

• Operational Management: Oversee key functions including sales, operations, customer service, and maintenance.

• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with management, team members, vendors, and customers to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.

• Customer Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with customers and serve as the primary point of contact for addressing service escalations.

• SOP and Compliance: Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), industry policies, and compliance requirements, particularly in cold chain warehousing and logistics practices.

• Efficiency Improvement: Identify operational challenges and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.

• Team Support and Culture: Provide support to the team to achieve their objectives and foster a positive company culture that promotes excellence and high morale.

• Audits: Conduct monthly stock audits with physical verification as per Warehouse Management System (WMS) software and ensure certification with customers on a regular basis.

1. Quality Control: Ensure proper quality checks of incoming and outgoing products, strictly adhering to temperature control parameters and hygiene standards as per SOP.

1. Staffing and Training: Maintain records of employees, identify training needs, recruit new staff as required, and conduct regular team training sessions.

1. Security and Safety Measures: Ensure the installation and 24×7 functioning of CCTV cameras covering the entire warehouse premises. Implement visitor management software, maintain pest control measures, and oversee the insurance of warehouse and cargo.

1. Prevention of Theft and Fraud: Implement measures to prevent theft or fraudulent activities within the warehouse premises, taking appropriate legal action if necessary.

1. Budget Management: Adhere to the defined budget and implement cost-saving measures wherever possible.

1. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and processes to drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in leading supply chain and Cold Chain warehouse management.
  • Education: Preferably a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience in handling chilled and frozen foods across various industries.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel to client locations or other warehouse sites as required.
