Job Title: Business Head (Cold Chain Transportation)
Location: Goregaon, Mumbai

Salary: ₹1,00,000 – ₹1,50,000 per month

Role Summary – The Business Head will lead the overall growth, sales, and operational efficiency of our cold chain transportation division. This role requires deep industry knowledge in refrigerated transport, temperature-controlled logistics, and cold chain operations. The ideal candidate will drive revenue, manage key clients, strengthen operational performance, oversee fleet and logistics activities, and ensure compliance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities –
Strategic Planning & Growth:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue, profit, and market expansion goals.
- Identify new business opportunities in cold chain transportation and convert leads into long-term clients.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support business decisions.
- Prepare business plans, financial forecasts, and performance reports.
Sales & Client Management:
- Lead cold chain sales activities across reefer transport and distribution services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.
- Understand customer requirements and propose customized temperature-controlled logistics solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial agreements; drive contract closures.
- Ensure achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Conduct regular client visits, follow-ups, and account management.
Operations & Fleet Oversight:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of reefer fleet, dispatch planning, and temperature compliance.
- Ensure timely deliveries, route optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor temperature logs, reefer performance, GPS tracking, and SLA adherence.
- Coordinate with drivers, transport teams, warehouse staff, and service providers.
- Ensure full compliance with cold chain SOPs, statutory requirements, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with vendors for fleet mobilization, outsourced vehicles, and operational support.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor operations, sales, and logistics teams.
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support employee development.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and high-performing work culture.
Customer Service & Relationship Excellence:
- Manage customer escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Drive customer experience improvement initiatives.
- Ensure high service reliability, temperature integrity, and delivery accuracy.
Financial & Compliance Management:
- Manage budgets, cost control, and financial performance of the business unit.
- Track KPIs such as fleet utilization, fuel efficiency, cost per trip, and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate vendor billing, negotiate rates, and optimize operational expenses.
Required Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
Experience Requirements –
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the cold chain transportation / temperature-controlled logistics industry (mandatory).
- Proven experience in sales, operations, business development, and team leadership roles within cold chain logistics.

- Strong knowledge of cold chain logistics, reefer trucks, temperature monitoring, and compliant operations.
- Expertise in sales, logistics planning, fleet management, and customer servicing.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and CRM/transport management systems.
